Mixed Media : Jonathan Brown
Following a career of thirty years in the property industry, Jonathan renewed his interest in the arts through therapy, and an interest in the exploration of emotions and feelings in a fusion of the mediums of painting, drawing, photography, poetry, music and contemporary dance.
Without any formal training in the arts, he embarked on a course of drawing the human form and portraiture, including the painting techniques of the renaissance artist, using a mixture of mediums including oils, pastels, charcoal and acrylics.
Jonathan seeks an expression of feelings, the emotions of the subject, including the movement of the human form, particularly in dance. Art is the most wonderful medium to unravel the complexities of the human mind and a therapy to a feeling of well being.
