Print Maker : Retouched Images : Andy Shattock
Born in 1947 in Worthing Sussex, his family moved to Clayhall Esses when he was 10 and now Andy lives and works in East Grinstead. After leaving school and studying at the London College of Printing he had the good fortune to be employed in a first class design company, working for Bob Isherwood, a young Australian, who is now worldwide creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi. Andy's experience in this creative and dynamic environment has been a lasting influence.
Turning freelance at 20, he became a typographic designer and at 25 combined forces with two friends to start their won design agency The Adventure Partnership which continued for the next 30 years.
Andy was the creative force behind the company, working on a variety of blue chip accounts, Thames TV, Johnson & Johnson, John Lewis, Nikon and Philips.
Throughout this period Andy continued painting, in oils and in 2001, he returned to Sussex. Now retired, he paints in oils and acrylics.
